Emmanuel Adebayor admits that the Tottenham Hotspur squad are eager for Harry Redknapp to stay with the club.

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that the entire Tottenham Hotspur squad are keen for Harry Redknapp to remain with the club.

Redknapp has been widely tipped to become the next manager of England following Fabio Capello's decision to vacate the position on Wednesday.

Speaking after Spurs' 5-0 win over Newcastle United this evening, Adebayor admitted that Redknapp is a "special manager".

"Harry is a special manager, the way he talks and the way he brings joy to the training ground," he told BBC Sport.

"We love him and we want him to stay. We wish him the best of luck if he decides to take the England job."

Redknapp has recently revealed that he wouldn't consider taking the England job on a part-time basis.
