Nabil Bentaleb praises Tottenham Hotspur character

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb praises the team's character following their comeback victory over Southampton on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has praised the team's character following Sunday's 3-2 win over Southampton in the Premier League.

Spurs fought back from two goals down at White Hart Lane to claim an important victory in their quest for European football.

"I think we really deserved the win," Bentaleb told the club's official website. "It was hard when we went 2-0 down but we showed some great character and came back against a strong side.

"The manager made it clear in the changing room at half time the reaction he wanted and we all knew that we could turn it around. We showed that we could with the final result."

Tottenham are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Liverpool in the Premier League.
