Michael Dawson: 'This is the strongest Tottenham Hotspur squad in my time'

Michael Dawson hails the current Tottenham Hotspur squad as the best that he has been involved in.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has hailed the current squad as the best that he has been involved in at the club.

Spurs are currently second in the Premier League after spending over £100m during the summer.

They did lose Gareth Bale, but their skipper still thinks this is the best set of players during his time.

"I've been very fortunate in the eight and a half years I've had here to play with some top players," Dawson told The Guardian. "World-class players.

"I think at this moment in time, the depth and the quality we've got has the be the best. You look at the squad, and like the manager says, he's got two players in each position.

"Everyone is fighting to play in the Premier League and everyone can do that."

Spurs take on Chelsea at 12.45pm this afternoon.
