Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone has said that Tim Sherwood is an "ideal fit" as the club's head coach.
Sherwood was appointed as the club's new boss on a full-time basis following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas last month.
Huddlestone, who left White Hart Lane to join Hull City during the summer, believes that Spurs will play an entertaining brand of football under Sherwood, in a similar manner to former boss Harry Redknapp.
"I was surprised [by Villas-Boas's sacking] because they weren't that far away from the top four, where they want to be," the 27-year-old told The Express.
"But Tim has come in having worked with the under-21 side, who have cleaned up recently. I think Tim is probably playing a more exciting style of football - maybe more like Redknapp did - than AVB did, which suits the players they've got.
"I do know Tim fairly well and I like the way he is. He is straightforward. If somebody needs telling off or whatever he won't be afraid to do it. With the squad he has got there he is an ideal fit."
Sherwood's side beat Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford in their last outing.
