Harry Redknapp ready to let duo leave

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is prepared to sell midfield duo Steven Pienaar and Niko Kranjcar.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is willing to allow midfield pair Niko Kranjcar and Steven Pienaar to leave the club in January, according to The Mirror.

Both players have failed to feature regularly for Spurs in recent times, with Pienaar in particular struggling to establish himself at White Hart Lane.

The South African has suffered from a string of injury problems since arriving in North London in January, while Krancjar's first-team action has been limited due to the form of Gareth Bale.

Tottenham's surprise Europa League exit means that the fringe duo's game time will be further reduced and it is thought that Redknapp is prepared to let both depart in order for them to play regular football.

Pienaar has been linked with a loan move to former club Everton while rumours suggest Kranjcar could be thrown into a swap deal, as Spurs look to bring players in during the transfer window.
