Tim Sherwood praises Hugo Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood praises goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after he made a number of saves in their 4-0 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has praised Hugo Lloris for his part in his team's 4-0 win over Newcastle on Wednesday.

The keeper made a number of good saves to keep out Papiss Cisse, Mathieu Debuchy and Yoan Gouffran and preserve his team's clean sheet.

Sherwood told BBC Sport: "I'm a perfectionist. There was a spell at start of the second half when Hugo had to pull off some saves.

"I've been critical of the way we've started matches, but not today. The boys looked sharp from the start."

Spurs are now fifth in the league on 50 points, three behind Liverpool in fourth.
