How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Manchester City

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up in Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to keep their top-four hopes alive when they welcome Manchester City to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's side, who occupy sixth position heading into this weekend's action, have only won one of their last five in the league but are only six points off fourth-placed Chelsea on the same number of matches.

Spurs have lost four and won none of their last six Premier League games with City, though, and have also been beaten in two of their six home league fixtures since Mourinho's arrival as head coach.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the capital outfit could line up on Sunday.

Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko remain unavailable for selection due to long-term hamstring and knee injuries respectively, while left-back Ben Davies will again miss out with a troublesome ankle issue.

Mourinho has no other injury concerns heading into the contest, though, and could hand a debut to Steven Bergwijn following the attacker's arrival from PSV Eindhoven.

It seems likely that the January signing will start on the bench, however, with Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min expected to be involved in the final third of the field.

Tanguy Ndombele, Davinson Sanchez and Japhet Tanganga are all pushing for spots in the XI, while Dele Alli is expected to be involved in an advanced position.

Giovani Lo Celso, who recently completed a permanent move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, is expected to start in central midfield alongside Harry Winks, while Serge Aurier should also keep his spot at right-back.

Mourinho is more than capable of springing a tactical surprise on Sunday, though, and could ultimately decide to select a back five with Jan Vertonghen and Ryan Sessegnon potentially featuring if that is indeed the case.
