Preview: Sunderland vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Sunderland could move off the bottom of the Premier League table on Saturday if they beat Tottenham Hotspur and other results go their way.

Gus Poyet's side are five points adrift of safety following Wednesday evening's 4-3 defeat to Chelsea at the Stadium of Light.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas will be encouraged by his side's 2-1 victory at Fulham in midweek, which was their first win in five outings.

Jozy Altidore is expected to retain his place in the Sunderland side after scoring his first league goal of the season against Chelsea.

Tottenham will go into the match without Danny Rose or Jan Vertonghen, who are both struggling with ankle injuries, so Kyle Naughton is expected to start at left-back.

Lewis Holtby could come into the side after scoring the winning goal against Fulham on Wednesday.
