Christian Eriksen is reportedly unlikely to agree a new deal with Tottenham Hotspur and is honoured by the rumoured interest from Real Madrid.
The Danish playmaker, due to be out of contract at the end of next season, is a long-term target for the La Liga giants.
Madrid are believed to have already made an approach to sign the 26-year-old, only for Spurs to place a £225m price tag on his head.
AS reports that Eriksen does not appear likely to agree fresh terms with his current club, however, and a move to the Bernabeu is now "a very real possibility".
It is claimed that talks between Spurs and the player have come to little fruition and it will be "very difficult" for a renewal to be agreed.
However, the report also states that there is only a "0.1% chance" of Eriksen joining Los Blancos in the January window, as Mauricio Pochettino's side are still battling for honours on four fronts.
