Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.
The 43-year-old's new deal will also see him take on an ambassadorial role at White Hart Lane.
The former USA international joined Spurs in 2011 after spending three years with Aston Villa.
An official statement from the club said: "Our goalkeeper's ambassadorial role will have a wide-ranging remit that will include greater involvement in our global coaching programme and engaging with our 30 supporters clubs from across North America as we continue to increase our global presence and bring our international fanbase closer to the club."
Friedel made nine appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last season.
