Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has admitted that he 'cannot promise' Dusan Vlahovic will sign a new contract with the Italian outfit.
Vlahovic scored 21 Serie A goals for La Viola last term and has also started the new campaign in impressive form, netting five times in five appearances in all competitions.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were both linked with the Serbia international over the summer, and the pair are thought to be lining up moves in 2022.
Commisso is hopeful that the 21-year-old will sign a new deal with Fiorentina, but the club president has refused to offer any guarantees over the forward's future.
"Let's leave him [Vlahovic] alone, I spoke to him and he is a good guy who is having success," Commisso told violanews.com. "He is a nice thing for Fiorentina, let's hope he can stay here for a long time. I won't make promises [about his new contract] that I can't keep."
The Serbian's existing contract with his Italian club is due to expire in June 2023.
