Reports suggest that Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur face competition from AC Milan for Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti.

AC Milan have reportedly entered the race to sign Lyon full-back Samuel Umtiti.

The 19-year-old, who broke into Les Gones' first team last season, is also believed to be of interest to Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Umtiti helped his team win last year's Coupe de France, while also continuing his progress through the youth ranks of the French national setup.

According to The Express, Milan, Spurs and Newcastle are all tracking his progress, which could end up in a summer bidding war.

The Cameroon-born defender scored against Spurs in the Europa League at White Hart Lane this season.
