Zinedine Zidane claims that Gareth Bale should tell Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave in order to push through a move to Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane has claimed that Gareth Bale should tell Tottenham Hotspur that he wants to leave the club.

The former World Player of the Year, who is now Real Madrid sporting director, has praised Bale in recent months, as the Spanish giants step up their pursuit of the winger.

Zidane insists that Madrid have made their position clear, so it is now up to Bale to decide what he wants.

"I think Madrid have made their admiration of Gareth Bale very clear," Zidane told The Mirror.

"But if Gareth feels now is the time to move then he has to have a private discussion with his club and express that he wants to leave."

Bale, who is currently on holiday in America, is yet to comment on the speculation surrounding his future.
