Timo Werner committed to long Stuttgart stay

Stuttgart midfielder Timo Werner says that he cannot imagine playing for any other club as he enters talks for a new contract.

Stuttgart midfielder Timo Werner has said that he cannot imagine playing for any other club as he enters negotiations over a new contract with the Bundesliga side.

Werner has received plenty of praise for his performances so far this season and is being tipped to make a late charge to be included in Joachim Low's Germany squad for the World Cup.

The 17-year-old has already been at the club for more than a decade and expressed his desire to extend his stay even further.

"I cannot envisage playing anywhere else, ever. I've been at the club since 2002 and hope to stay for many more years to come," PA quotes Werner as saying.

The youngster has scored four goals in 14 appearances so far this season, helping Stuttgart to 10th in the Bundesliga table.
