Michael Laudrup: 'We deserved more than a draw'

Michael Laudrup says that Swansea City should have beaten Aston Villa in their Premier League match today.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup believes that his side did enough to beat Aston Villa this afternoon in their 1-1 draw at Villa Park.

Villa took an early lead through Gabriel Agbonlahor, but Swansea dominated the ball and equalised when Roland Lamah headed in.

Neither side could find a winner in the second half, but Laudrup feels that his players should have made more of their possession.

"We got a point but I think we lost two. In the first half we created the chances. We made it a little difficult for ourselves giving away the early goal but came back and dominated completely," Laudrup told BBC Sport.

"In the second half we had the ball but didn't create that much. Sometimes possession can give you an idea how the game has been. The possession in the first half was followed up by chances and good play and we should have scored more than once."

Swansea are 11th in the Premier League.
