Swansea City sack manager Michael Laudrup due to Paris trip?

Swansea City reportedly decided to sack manager Michael Laudrup because he took a trip to Paris following his side's defeat to West Ham United.

Swansea City reportedly decided to call an end to Michael Laudrup's time at the club after he took a trip to Paris following his side's defeat to West Ham United.

The Welsh outfit announced last night that the Dane's 18-month stint at the Liberty Stadium has come to an end.

According to The Mirror, the last straw for chairman Huw Jenkins was when Laudrup opted to take a trip to Paris following the Swans' 2-0 defeat at Upton Park on Saturday.

Laudrup's decision to give the players two days off after the loss is also said to have angered Jenkins, who is believed to have questioned the 49-year-old's attitude.

Reports have also claimed that a number of players complained that Laudrup appeared uninterested in training, and rules were implemented stating that only three Spanish players were allowed to sit at one table during lunch.

Garry Monk has taken temporary charge of the first team alongside Alan Curtis.
