Swansea City right-back Angel Rangel believes it is imperative that the club finish the season on a high.
The Welsh outfit currently have 40 points in ninth place in the Premier League table following their victory in the League Cup final over Bradford City.
"When you look at the table and the amount of points we have at this stage, we can appreciate the amount of hard work everyone has put in this season already," Rangel told the club's official website.
"It's been a great season so far, it's great to see the club in the top half of the Premier League table. But everyone here is always battling to raise the standard and push the club up the table.
"I think if we finish the season on a bad note, then that is what a lot of people will remember. That will eradicate the good work that went in earlier on in the season."
The Swans have eight games left to play in the campaign.
