Swansea City defender Angel Rangel admits that his side face an uphill task to end their season on a high with games against Chelsea and Manchester City to come.

Swansea City defender Angel Rangel believes that his side face an uphill task to end their season on a high with games against Chelsea and Manchester City to come.

The Swans could only muster a point from their clash with Southampton as both teams endured a frustrating time in front of goal as the match ended goalless.

Rangel told the club's official website: "I think it would have been important to beat Southampton, particularly at home, because we now have two tough games against Chelsea and Manchester City.

"We wanted to get something from the game, but we'll try our best. We know how to beat big teams – we have done it already this season – but at this stage it isn't just about performances, we want results as well."

Swansea are ninth in the Premier League on 42 points, 11 points clear of the relegation zone.
