Aiming to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat, Fortuna Sittard visit the GelreDome on Sunday to take on Vitesse in round seven of the Eredivisie season.
The hosts, meanwhile, are yet to pick up a home league victory this term and will be looking to end this run at the third time of asking.
Match preview
Vitesse return to winning ways on Wednesday when they saw off the threat of Groningen to claim a 1-0 triumph at the Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadium.
Yann Gboho broke the deadlock in the third minute of first-half stoppage time and that was enough to secure all three points for Thomas Letsch's men.
With two wins from the last three league outings, the Vitas have risen to seventh in the standings following a slow start to the campaign.
An opportunity to continue their good run awaits against counterparts who have lost four of the last six meetings between the sides since 2018.
Saturday's hosts follow this weekend's game with a Conference League tie versus Stade Rennais on Thursday, so a win here would help set the tone.
Fortuna suffered a first home defeat of the season on Tuesday at the hands of defending champions Ajax, who claimed a 5-0 win when the teams faced off.
Goals from Steven Berghuis, Noussair Mazraoui, Dusan Tadic, Mohammed Kudus and Nicolas Tagliafico put Sjors Ultee's men to the sword in Sittard.
After picking up four points from a possible six at the start of the season, the Fortunezen are without a point from the subsequent three matches and have now dropped into the relegation zone.
In that time, Saturday's visitors have failed to find the back of the net which is an area that needs a significant upgrade if results are to improve in the coming weeks.

Team News
Lisandro Semedo is unavailable for his side's trip to Arnhem due to an ankle injury which has seen him miss all of Fortuna's five outings this season.
The visitors will also have to make do with the absence of 24-year-old forward Arianit Ferati, who is currently battling with an illness.
Million Manhoef was named amongst the substitutes versus Groningen following his recovery from a knee injury and the Dutchman could be reinstated back into the starting XI for this one.
Having served his one-game suspension in midweek, Danilho Doekhi is eligible for selection once again and should come in for Tomas Hajek on the right side of a three-man defense.
Vitesse possible starting lineup:
Schubert; Doekhi, Bazoer, Rasmussen; Wittek, Tronstad, Bero, Dasa; Tannane, Openda, Frederiksen
Fortuna Sittard possible starting lineup:
Van Osch; Cox, Janssen, Angha, Tirpan; Rienstra, Tekie, Duarte; Seuntjens, Sambou, Hansson
We say: Vitesse 2-1 Fortuna Sittard
Vitesse have not yet hit the heights of last season but will fancy themselves to come out on top against an out of sorts Fortuna side. We are tipping the home team to come away with all three points at the sound of the final whistle in what should be an open and exciting affair.
