Watford manager Walter Mazzarri praises his side's "character" after they came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at Vicarage Road.

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has hailed his side's character after they came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at Vicarage Road this afternoon.

Troy Deeney first cancelled out Callum Wilson's opener before Isaac Success rescued a point for his side just three minutes after Josh King has restored the visitors' advantage.

Mazzarri questioned his side's hunger following their 2-0 defeat to Burnley on Monday, but the Italian was "happy" with their performance today.

"I was happy with my team. They had the character of never giving up and this for me is important," he told reporters.

"[At half time] I told them that we played very well in the first half, but they have to avoid doing silly mistakes we sometimes do, giving the ball very easily to our rivals.

"I also told them that given the opposition we have to press higher. My players listened to me. They came out in the second half doing what I told them."

The point leaves Watford 11th in the table with eight points from their opening seven matches.
