Shane Long: West Bromwich Albion needs big manager

West Brom striker Shane Long claims that the club needs a 'big manager' to replace Roy Hodgson.

West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long has admitted that the club needs a "big manager" to replace Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson will leave the Hawthorns at the end of the season to take over as England boss.

"For me he's the main reason that the club has kicked on in the last two years," Long told the Express & Star.

"He's one of the people who has made a difference and he has kept players that probably could have moved on.

"West Brom is a big club with a big fanbase, so we need a big manager."

Hodgson's last game in charge of the Baggies will be at home to Arsenal on Sunday.
