League One side Colchester United have completed the signing of West Bromwich Albion's midfielder Kemar Roofe on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old had a spell on loan with Northampton Town in 2012, and featured nine times during a spell with Cheltenham Town last season.
Roofe has also played in Iceland for Reykjavík side Vikingur, but is yet to make an appearance for the Baggies.
"Drey Wright is out of action now, so it was important to maintain our options up front," Colchester manager Tony Humes told the club's official website.
"Kemar fits into our way of playing and can play all across the front - and he has pace, an attribute that always causes problems for defenders."
Colchester face Gosport Borough in the FA Cup first round this weekend.
