Joe Hart is to start West Ham United's EFL Cup quarter-final tie against Arsenal on Tuesday night, while Andy Carroll is also in contention to feature.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed that Joe Hart will start in goal against Arsenal in Tuesday night's EFL Cup quarter-final tie.

The England number one has lost his place to Adrian in recent weeks after a shaky period between the sticks upon arriving on loan from Manchester City.

Moyes will swap keepers for the midweek cup tie, however, while striker Andy Carroll is in line to feature at the Emirates Stadium following a three-week spell on the sidelines.

"Joe Hart will definitely start tomorrow night. He's been very good around the place and he's ready to play," he told reporters. "We've got the same sort of squad but with a couple of injuries and a couple of young players around.

"Andy Carroll could return. He's had a bad back but he trained today and we will make a call on him tomorrow. Ideally we would have changed one or two players, but we're a bit short and our priority is the Premier League, but nothing would give me more pleasure than reaching a cup final."

Lanzini is expected to be ruled out of the match, meanwhile, as he is facing a two-match ban for an alleged dive in the weekend win over Stoke City.
