Carl Jenkinson: 'West Ham United not complacent'

Carl Jenkinson insists that the West Ham players remain committed despite the team's slump in form.

West Ham United defender Carl Jenkinson has insisted that there is no complacency among the players at the club.

The Hammers have slipped down to 10th place in the Premier League table in recent weeks following just one win from their last 11 matches.

Their latest defeat came on Sunday when they were beaten 2-0 by champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite such a demoralising slump in form, Jenkinson has claimed that he and his teammates are determined to end the campaign strongly.

"People in our dressing room are fired up," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "People aren't resting on their laurels, people aren't happy finishing mid-table. We want to kick on. We have got something to prove now because we have been on a bad run of games and we want to put that right. We owe that to ourselves and the fans."

West Ham are back in action on Saturday when they face strugglers Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
