Kevin Nolan backs West Ham United for success

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan backs the club to improve in the Premier League next season.

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan has backed the club to improve in the Premier League next season.

The Hammers ended their campaign in the bottom half of the table, with some of the club's fans calling for the dismissal of manager Sam Allardyce.

Nolan has admitted that his teammates have struggled to find their best form, but he is confident that a successful future lies ahead of them.

"It's been one of those seasons but it's great to know that we'll be back in the top flight next year, which has been the gaffer's main priority," he told the club's website.

"Now that we know we are going to be in the Premier League I'm convinced that there's only one way that we're going to go and that's to get better and better as the years go on.

"This year's been really difficult with injuries, obviously a few suspensions as well along the way, but it's nice to be able to put this season to bed now and look forward to next season."

Nolan has been at West Ham since 2011, after joining from Newcastle United.
