Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has stated that he was pleased with his side's commitment following their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
Martinez also revealed that he did not see the result as two points dropped, rather a point gained.
"It is a good result because keeping a clean sheet is always a good part of your performance. I felt we worked really, really hard and you have to when you play against a team with the quality Aston Villa have," Martinez told Sky Sports News.
"We did everything apart from hitting the back of the net... it's another point. We don't see it as two points dropped, it's another point to take us into the next game."
Wigan remain bottom of the Premier League table.
