Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has praised his players for producing "the perfect performance" against Stoke City this afternoon.
Antolin Alcaraz and Victor Moses found the net as hosting Athletic claimed all three points against their visitors at the DW Stadium.
Reflecting on his team's display, Martinez believes that he couldn't have asked for any extra from his squad.
"It's very pleasing because I feel it was the perfect performance from us," he told BBC Sport. "We looked a real well organised side and we limited Stoke to very little chances.
"We showed maturity, know-how and composure and that is extremely pleasing. This group of players deserved that victory and we have given ourselves a great chance."
Despite the victory, Wigan remain 19th in the Premier League table.
