Wigan Athletic have named four debutants in the side that host Reading in their Championship opener this afternoon.

Oriol Riera, Emyr Huws, Andrew Taylor and Don Cowie all make their first appearances alongside the likes of Callum McManaman and captain Emmerson Boyce.

Meanwhile, Simon Cox has to settle for a place on the bench for the visitors as Pavel Pogrebnyak and Nick Blackman start up top.
