Half-Time Report: Cauley Woodrow gives Fulham lead over Wolverhampton Wanderers

Fulham are on course for the FA Cup fourth round, having taken a 1-0 lead into half time of their replay with Wolves.

Cauley Woodrow scored the only goal of the first half to give Fulham a 1-0 lead over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their FA Cup third-round replay at Molineux.

The hosts held a minute of silence before kickoff in memory of club president Sir Jack Hayward, who passed away earlier today.

It was Fulham who made the brighter start to the match itself, however, with Ross McCormack drawing an early stop from Carl Ikeme courtesy of a 25-yard effort.

Ikeme was again called into action in the 11th minute, although this time he barely had to move as Woodrow's strike from the edge of the box was straight at him.

McCormack had another shooting chance moments later, but he could not keep his effort down from 15 yards, while Sean Kavanagh also fired over the crossbar.

Wolves' first clear opening came midway through the half when the ball broke kindly for Liam McAlinden inside the box, and the striker drew a fine stop from Marcus Bettinelli.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock shortly before the half-hour mark, however, as Woodrow got on the end of a cross from the left to nod past Ikeme.

Seko Fofana dragged an effort wide of the post moments later, while at the other end Danny Batth's downward header from a corner was collected by Bettinelli.

Fulham should have been two goals to the good 10 minutes before the break when Moussa Dembele raced on to McCormack's through-ball and rounded the keeper, only to put his effort wide from five yards out.
