Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will be out for around a month after suffering knee ligament damage on Tuesday.
Ebanks-Blake sustained the problem during Wolves' Carling Cup win at Northampton after scoring the second of his two goals.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said: "The injury is worse than we first thought. Sylvan has damaged his medial ligament and you are looking at him being out for a month."
The 25-year-old was making his first appearance of the season, after not featuring in Wolves' opening two Premier League games.
