Wolves skipper Roger Johnson brands fan heckling of Karl Henry "disgusting" and "disgraceful"

Wolves skipper Roger Johnson has branded the heckling of Karl Henry last weekend "disgusting".

Fans cheered when midfielder Henry, 28, was substituted off during the team's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle at Molineux last Saturday.

"I thought it was a disgrace, disgusting. It stinks," said Johnson, who replaced Henry as captain over the summer.

"If the fans want to have a bitch at me about it then fine, but I thought they were bang out of order. There are no reasons for that and it should never happen.

"And for someone who's served this club so well for so long and been captain, it was undeserved. It's not going to help anyone."

Manager Mick McCarthy yesterday admitted that his team were "hurting" after four league defeats on the bounce.
