James McFadden closer to Wolverhampton Wanderers move

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy reveals that Scotland striker James McFadden is close to signing for the club.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has said that James McFadden is close to signing for the club.

The 28-year-old striker has been on trial at Molineux and it is believed that a deal is currently being discussed with his representatives.

"He has looked good in training and I am delighted with that part of it. I want to sign him," said McCarthy. "Hopefully he will be playing here soon."

The Scotland international has previously played for Motherwell, Everton and Birmingham City.
