Wolverhampton Wanderers willing to spend big on striker?

Fosun International - the owners of Wolverhampton Wanderers - are reportedly willing to spend big on a new striker for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Wolverhampton Wanderers owners Fosun International have reportedly decided to make funds available for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo to sign a new striker.

Despite a summer of upheaval at Molineux, Wolves only have two frontline strikers - Leo Bonatini and Nouha Dicko - in their first-team squad, with Joe Mason expected to be sold before the end of the transfer window.

Much has been made of the West Midlands outfit needing to meet financial fair-play obligations in the future with their transfer record twice being broken during 2017, but according to the Express & Star, there are still plans for the club to be active in the market.

It has been claimed that Wolves remain in the hunt for another forward, and Fosun are willing to spend big in order to strengthen in the final third in a bid to improve the team's chances of promotion to the Premier League.

Wolves have emerged from their opening three Championship matches with nine points after registering impressive wins over Middlesbrough, Derby County and Hull City respectively.

It has previously been suggested that Southampton's Sam Gallagher, Norwich City's Nelson Oliveira and Sheffield Wednesday's Jordan Rhodes are all on Nuno's radar.

Wolves have also been linked with a move for Le Havre frontman Nathael Julan.
