Brian McDermott praises "clinical" Leeds Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott hails his team for showing their ruthless streak during their 46-18 hammering of St Helens in Super League.

Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has praised his side for being clinical during their thrashing of St Helens in Super League.

The Rhinos stormed to the top of the table last night thanks to a 46-18 hammering of their rivals at Headingley Carnegie.

Despite claiming that his players could have performed better, McDermott believes that Leeds were worthy winners in the end due to their ruthlessness up front.

"We nailed our chances early," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I don't think we were actually that dominant. We were not brilliant but we did score 22 points in that first half. We were really clinical when we got the chance to score."

Leeds continue their Super League campaign on July 9 with a trip to Wigan Warriors.
