British and Irish Lions wing George North has a chance of making the first Test in the series against Australia, according to the team doctor.
The Welshman is still recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up during the 64-0 win over the Combined Country last week and has been a major doubt to face the Wallabies at the weekend.
However, the 21-year-old is progressing well from his problem and could now win the race to be fit for the clash on Saturday.
"George is an exceptional character and has worked really hard," said James Robson. "He is back to running today. He is doing very, very well.
"An accurate assessment of his availability for selection will take place on Wednesday, but at the moment I think he is doing very well."
The Lions face the Brumbies on Tuesday at 10.40am.
