Tindall bemoans conceding easy penalties
Mike Tindall admits that gifting Argentina penalties made England's job harder.

Mike Tindall has admitted that conceding a string of penalties made England's job harder in their 13-9 World Cup opener win against Argentina.

In a match where penalties dominated the scoring, Argentina earned all nine points from the tee.

"You've got to give full credit to Argentina. They squeezed and squeezed out penalties," Tindall said. "We gave three easy penalties away - from then on it makes it hard work for you."

England went on to make a comeback with a try from Ben Youngs around 20 minutes from time and managed to keep hold of the lead.

"We got a bit more control of the ball and tempo," the 32-year-old explained. "You've got to play to what you're getting away with.

"We were under a lot of pressure, but then we got our chance and took it. We deserve credit for that but there's a lot to work on."

England are now second to Scotland in Pool B with four and five points respectively.
