Fergus McFadden ruled out for Ireland

Ireland winger Fergus McFadden misses Sunday's Test against New Zealand in Dublin with a fractured bone in his hand.

Ireland winger Fergus McFadden has been ruled out of Sunday's Test against New Zealand with a fractured bone in his hand.

The 27-year-old is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks with the problem.

Meanwhile, Brian O'Driscoll has emerged as an injury doubt for the match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The veteran centre suffered a calf problem during last weekend's 32-15 defeat to Australia.

"If I handle the week well, I shouldn't be far off," Sky Sports News quotes O'Driscoll as saying. "It's not any reason to use it an excuse for not playing brilliantly.

"In plenty of other games I've managed injuries, it's part and parcel of the game. You have to cope with picking up knocks."

Jonathan Sexton could also miss out with a hamstring strain as Ireland look to record their first ever win over the All Blacks.
