Saracens announce that chief executive Edward Griffiths will leave the club at the end of the season following a seven-year spell.

Saracens have announced that chief executive Edward Griffiths will leave the club at the end of the season.

The businessman has opted to walk away from his role after a seven-year spell in order to pursue new ventures.

Chairman Nigel Wray said in a statement: "After seven years as CEO Edward is moving on. He has created and leaves an outstanding and beautiful new permanent home for Saracens, and a team of people with a real caring and community focus and we will build upon this legacy. Edward will forever be a Saracen and always welcome amongst his friends at Allianz Park."

Saracens are currently third in the Aviva Premiership table.
