Saracens bring in South Africa lock Michael Rhodes

South Africa lock Michael Rhodes is to join Saracens from Stormers in the summer.

South Africa lock Michael Rhodes has agreed to join Saracens at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old will move to Allianz Park from Super Rugby side Stormers.

"We have some time ago identified Michael as a player who could make significant contribution to the squad, playing in the second row or the back row, carrying the ball," director of rugby Mark McCall told the club's official website.

"We are confident we can provide an environment where he will realise his full potential. We're delighted he will be joining us next season."

Saracens, who currently occupy third place in the Aviva Premiership table, return to action on Saturday when they host Northampton Saints in the LV= Cup.
