Andy Murray has continued his French Open campaign with a 6-4 6-2 6-3 victory over Nick Kyrgios in the third round.
Murray started the match impressively thanks to an early break, before a sloppy service game was completed by a double fault as his Australian rival hit back immediately.
Kyrgios displayed his full array of shots in an entertaining first set, but Murray dictated the key rallies to break again before wrapping up the opener.
Despite the setback, it was Kyrgios who looked the stronger of the two players for much of the second set, but Murray managed to shrug off a disappointing service game which included two double faults to break once again.
Mistakes started to become a regular occurrence for Kyrgios, and Murray was able to capitalise with another break before his opponent called for the trainer to check on a wrist problem.
After taking the second set, Murray was taken by surprise by his rival's response as Kyrgios went on the attack to secure a break, but the Scot immediately broke back to remain in control.
It was the perfect finish from the third seed as he piled the pressure on with some excellent play, and he clinched two more break points on the way to another comfortable win.
