Novak Djokovic reveals that making history at the Australian Open is a great motivation for him.

Novak Djokovic has admitted that he is motivated to become the first player to record three Australian Open titles in a row.

The world number one secured victory in the World Tennnis Championship in Dubai on Saturday with a win over Nicolas Almagro on Saturday but quickly turned his attention to making history in the first Grand Slam of the year.

Djokovic said: "I will be very motivated to hear that nobody has done this so I will try to make history there.

"I will be very flattered to be the first person to do that.

"The Australian Open is my most successful grand slam and hopefully I can get a shot at the title next year."

A win at the Australian Open will see Djokovic claim his sixth career Grand Slam title.
