The former finalist at this event needed just 52 minutes to dismiss the Australian to set up a meeting with either Michelle Larcher de Brito or Jarmila Gajdosova in the next round.

Dellacqua put up a good fight in the first set as she came from a break down early on, but the fourth seed was able to break again to clinch the opener.

Radwanska made a quick start to the second, breaking her opponent in the second game as she looked to swiftly secure her passage into round three.

The Australian tried to test the Polish player with a series of shots at the net, but she made too many errors, allowing Randwanska to wrap up the set in just 18 minutes without Dellacqua getting on the board.
