Ozil joins Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski in an attacking three behind frontman Olivier Giroud.

Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey are expected to sit in midfield, while Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny start at centre-half, with Thomas Vermaelen missing out completely with a hamstring injury.

Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long start up front for Steve Bruce's side, with Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore holding in midfield.
