Report: David Moyes waits on Joel Campbell deal

Real Sociedad coach David Moyes expects to know by Wednesday whether or not Arsenal will greenlight an exit for out-of-favour Joel Campbell.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes will learn on Wednesday if he has been successful in signing out-of-favour Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

Moyes has been linked with a winter move for the Costa Rica international in recent days, with the Scot reportedly open to a loan or an £8m permanent switch, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the report goes on to state that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger would prefer to see the 22-year-old loaned out to a Premier League club.

Campbell has found first-team chances hard to come by this season, starting just three games in all competitions after spending the last three years on loan with Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos.

He is out of contract with the Emirates Stadium club in 18 months.
