Goals from Saul Niguez and Jackson Martinez have put Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid side firmly in charge in their Champions League clash against Astana.

The first chance of the half fell the way of Antoine Griezmann who drilled a powerful, left-footed strike against the body of an Astana defender.
Diego Godin then headed a Gabi corner straight into the arms of the grateful Nenad Eric, before Niguez broke the deadlock midway through the half.
It was a classy opener from the midfielder as he back-heeled home Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco's pass from close range to put his side ahead.
Just six minutes later Martinez doubled Atletico's lead with his first Champions League goal for the Spanish side after seeing an effort ruled out for offside just seconds earlier.
