Montreal Impact boss Remi Garde has dismissed suggestions that the club are looking to sign Fernando Torres.
Last month, it was revealed that Torres would end his second spell at Atletico Madrid in the summer and it has resulted in a number of teams from various leagues being linked with the Spaniard.
Reports have claimed that Torres is a target for Impact, but Garde has revealed that there are no plans to make an approach for the former Liverpool and Chelsea man.
The 52-year-old is quoted by the club's official website as saying: "Fernando Torres is a very good player, but he isn't in the Impact's objectives. He isn't a part of our current plans."
Fellow MLS side DC United have also been credited with an interest in the frontman.
