Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola claims that he will take a year out from football before making a return.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that he will return to football in a year.

The 41-year-old announced last month that he would be leaving the Catalan club at the end of the season after four highly successful years.

"I will rest for a year and then we will see," Guardiola told reporters. "I do not have any plans, not even plans to coach again.

"I will do something, but you will not be seeing me that much."

Guardiola's assistant Tito Vilanova will take over the side at the end of the season.
