Yann Sommer and Joao Cancelo could make their first Champions League appearances for Bayern Munich when they travel to the Parc des Princes to face Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 on Tuesday.
Sommer was signed from Borussia Monchengladbach in January as a replacement for club captain Manuel Neuer, who fractured his leg on a skiing trip over the winter.
Bayern's new goalkeeper, who has previously played in the Champions League for Monchengladbach and Basel, will be shielded by a back four.
Nagelsmann has implemented a three-man defence in two of Bayern's last three games, but he is expected to stick with the tried and tested for an important European meeting.
The right-back spot will be occupied by Cancelo, after the Portugal international joined the club on loan from Manchester City in January following a lack of playing time with the Citizens and reports of a bust-up with Pep Guardiola.
Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano are expected to form the central defensive pairing, while Alphonso Davies will return to his left-back position after dropping to the bench on Saturday.
Joshua Kimmich was suspended for the win over Bochum, but he will be available for the trip to Paris and the 28-year-old will look to dictate the pace of the game in the middle of the park alongside Leon Goretzka.
There are doubts over the availability of Thomas Muller, who was forced off at half time on Saturday due to mild discomfort in his calf.
Muller has indicated that the issue is nothing serious, but Nagelsmann may be reluctant to risk the experienced attacker, and instead, leave him on the bench as an option that could be utilised later in the game.
If the 33-year-old does not feature then Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman could operate behind Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who has scored three goals in his four Champions League appearances this season.
Choupo-Moting made 51 appearances during a two-year spell with PSG, but he previously scored against his former club in a 1-0 second-leg victory for Bayern in April 2021, although it did not prevent the Bavarians from exiting the competition on away goals after losing the first leg 3-2.
Bayern Munich possible starting lineup: Sommer; Cancelo, De Ligt, Upamecano, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Sane, Musiala, Coman; Choupo-Moting
