Borussia Dortmund sign Ciro Immobile to five-year contract from Torino

Borussia Dortmund announce the signing of striker Ciro Immobile from Torino.

Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of striker Ciro Immobile from Torino for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old has agreed a five-year contract and moves to the Bundesliga after topping Serie A's scoring charts last season with 22 goals.

"In Ciro Immobile we get a flexible and dynamic attacker who has prevailed in an impressive way in a top European league," sports director Michael Zorc told BVB's website.

"His outstanding qualities fit perfectly with the profile required by Borussia Dortmund."

The Italian, soon off to Brazil for the World Cup, will be viewed as the replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is moving to Bayern Munich when his contract with Dortmund expires this summer.
