Brentford win five-goal thriller

Brentford go two points clear at the top of League One for the moment with a 3-2 home win against Swindon Town.

Brentford have come from behind twice to defeat Swindon Town 3-2 at Griffin Park in League One.

The visitors took the lead as early as the 10th minute when Nicholas Ajose released Ryan Mason to shoot home with his left foot from close range.

Mark Warburton's side equalised on 27 minutes when Sam Saunders fired in with a direct right-footed free kick, but Swindon regained their advantage seven minutes into the second half through Ajose.

However, Brentford made it 2-2 just moments later as Clayton Donaldson headed home Alan McCormack's delivery and Marcello Trotta wrapped up the win in the 71st minute when he found the target from inside the box after being sent through on goal by Jonathan Douglas.

The result sees Brentford go two points clear at the top of the table for the time being, while Swindon are seventh.
